Head Over Fields is a certified organic vegetable farm in Charlotte, Vermont.

FARM

Head Over Fields is on a mission to bring people together through food! It is our goal to offer healthy, organic and sustainably grown produce to our community through our CSA, our retail farm stand, a local farmers market and wholesale relationships with local restaurants and groceries. We opened in 2021, with 1.5 acres in production, a small summer CSA program and a roadside farm stand. We received our Organic Certification through Vermont Organic Farmers in June of that year. Since then, Head Over Fields has extended our farm stand season (May-Dec.), doubled our production acres, increased our CSA to more than 90 members and is a full-time vendor at the Shelburne Farmers Market on Saturdays during the growing season.

FARMERS

Hi! My name is Katie Rose and I am the owner-operator at Head Over Fields. I am a first generation farmer entering my 10th growing season and am truly ecstatic to be here in Charlotte building my own farm business from the ground up. I started farming in 2015 when I became an Apprentice at Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett, NY, and by July of that first year I knew I had found my calling. My husband Bryan, who grew up in South Burlington, and I started hunting immediately for the perfect place to start a farm and build community. Fast forward 6 years and when we finally closed on our farm in March 2021. The rest is herstory! We’re looking forward to celebrating the harvest each year with all of our neighbors and friends. Stop in and say hi!
